I present herewith my annual report, as required by section 35 of the Inspector-General of Intelligence and Security Act 1986. The report covers the period between 1 July 2003 and 30 June 2004.

The report has been prepared in compliance with the Requirements for Annual Reports, issued by the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet in April 2004, to the extent that compliance is sensible for an office of our small size.

I have consulted with all of the agencies within my jurisdiction and can advise that all share my view that the report is suitable for tabling in the Parliament.
