Here is my annual report, as required by section 35 of the Inspector-General of Intelligence and Security Act, 1986. The report covers the period of the 1989-90 financial year.

On the basis of advice from ASIO, ASIS and DSD, certain passages in the version I submitted to you earlier have been deleted or abbreviated to avoid prejudice to security, the defence of Australia, Australia's relations with other countries or the privacy of individuals. This version is in my view suitable for presentation to Parliament.
