Here is my annual report, as required by section 35 of the Inspector-General of Intelligence and Security Act 1986. The report covers the period between 1 July 1998 and 30 June 1999.

The report has been prepared in compliance with the current Guidelines for the preparation of departmental annual reports, issued by the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, to the extent that compliance is sensible for an office of our small size.

I have consulted with all of the agencies I oversee each of whom share my view that the report is suitable for tabling in the Parliament.
