Civil Society Reference Group

As part of its public engagement program, IGIS convenes consultative meetings with civil society groups. The key objectives of the meetings are to:

  • give civil society groups access to relevant and credible unclassified information about the work of the office and Australia’s intelligence and security agencies,
  • hear the views of those who work with people directly affected by the work of intelligence and security agencies, and
  • discuss differing perspectives about issues relevant to the work of the office in overseeing the intelligence and security agencies.
